Jesus not only freed us from the penalty and punishment of our sins, but because we belong to Him we are also free from the power of sin to enslave us.

That my friend is amazing grace. 

Romans 6:14 (KJV) tells us, “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”

Grace doesn’t give us an excuse to keep sinning; it gives us the power to overcome.

Romans 6:1-2 (KJV) What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 

1 John 1:9 (KJV) “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

You’re no longer a slave to sin.
